NO LONGER FOCUSED ON DESIGN……

While I truly do love to design, it became evident that in 2023, God was shifting something — and I had NO CLUE what He was doing.
What once felt natural started to feel heavy.
What once excited me began to feel empty.
And for the first time, I couldn’t ignore it anymore.
I started to feel so unfulfilled with design, and honestly, I began to feel bad about that. Not because design was wrong — but because it no longer held me the way it once did. And when you’ve built an identity, a business, and a reputation around something, that realization can be unsettling.
I didn’t have language for it yet.
I didn’t have a new title.
I didn’t even have clarity.
All I knew was that something was ending, and something else was forming — quietly, underneath the surface.
What I felt next… I WAS NOT PREPARED FOR.
God began pulling me inward.
Less noise. Less performing. Less explaining.
More listening. More observing. More unlearning.
This wasn’t a pivot I planned.
This wasn’t a strategy shift I mapped out.
This was a divine interruption.
I had to sit with the discomfort of not being able to immediately name what I was becoming. I had to resist the urge to force clarity just so others would feel comfortable. And I had to trust that God was doing a deeper work than what could be seen publicly.
Design was never the problem.
It was simply the doorway.
What God was actually doing was expanding my capacity — my discernment, my responsibility, and my assignment. He was shifting me from simply creating visuals to stewarding spaces, culture, and people.
And I’m still walking this out.
This season isn’t about abandoning what I know.
It’s about allowing God to reposition it.
If you’ve ever felt that quiet tension — where what you’re doing no longer fits, but what’s next hasn’t fully revealed itself yet — you’re not alone. Sometimes God removes the satisfaction first so you’ll stop settling for familiarity.
This is that story.
This is that stretch.
And this is only the beginning.
